Tour Description

Get ready for a full-day adventure to witness the pristine beauty and colourful hues of Rainbow Mountain, situated some 60 miles southeast of Cusco. Depart from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning, and break up the 3.5-hour journey with a stop in Pitumarca for a nourishing breakfast and a browse through the stalls of its local market.

Pass by herds of llamas and alpacas, snow-capped peaks, and through verdant valleys backed by the towering Ausangate mountain on this wildly scenic hike, and reach a dizzying elevation of over 16000 feet (4800 meters). From the Red Valley viewpoint, admire the mountain’s marbled shades of red, yellow, and turquoise.

Gorge on a well-deserved lunch on your way back to Cusco.
