Itinerary

Day 1 ARRIVAL, SANTIAGO CITY TOUR

Morning

Arrival to Chile.

Private transfer from Santiago Airport to hotel.

Afternoon

Meeting in the afternoon at the hotel hall to start your visit of Santiago. This tour will include the historic center: Plaza de Armas, the cathedral, La Moneda Palace and the central fish market. We will end the visit at Santa Lucia hill in order to have a panoramic view above the capital.

Evening

Free evening in Santiago.

Day 2 Valparaiso, Vina Del Mar

Morning

Drive North West (75 miles - 120 km) to the coastal cities of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. 

Relax in Vina del Mar, a picture-perfect seaside resort also known as the Garden City. 

Transfer to Valparaiso (20 min), Chile's busiest port, also liste as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2003.  

Afternoon

Ride one of the funicular tramways up the city's steep hill for extensive views of the port and beyond.

Take a leisurely stroll on one of the 45 hills to experience Valpo's street art and its bohemian and poetic atmosphere. 

Drive back to Santiago (1 hour 40 min).

Day 3 CASABLANCA WINE VALLEY: Casona Veramonte & MATETIC VINEYARDS TOUR

Morning

Embark on a special tour of Chilean wine culture and eco-friendly winemaking. Start with Veramonte Winery, where you can explore its historic buildings and beautiful vineyards.

Learn about the history of Veramonte and see how they make their famous wines. Knowledgeable guides will show you around and explain how the winery has grown over time.

Afternoon

Next, visit Matetic Vineyards in the Rosario Valley, known for its sustainable practices and top-quality wines. Explore the oldest vineyard in Matetic and learn about the special climate of the Rosario Valley. Discover organic and biodynamic farming as you walk through the vineyards and visit their biodynamic garden, home to native birds and insects.

Finish your tour with a wine tasting at the Emporio, featuring wines from our Corralillo and EQ collections. Experience the unique flavors of the Rosario Valley through our wines.

Transfer back to your hotel in Santiago.

Day 4 FLIGHT TO CALAMA, MOON VALLEY, ASTRONOMIC TOUR

Morning

Transfer to Santiago Airport and flight to Calama (2 hours 5 min).

Transfer to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama (1 hour 15 min).

Afternoon

One of the best-known destinations between Calama and San Pedro is the Valle de la Luna. With the Licancabur volcano providing the backdrop, strange salt, and rock formations in the middle of the valley’s barren sandy landscape really do look like a moonscape. After a tour past the bizarre natural rock and salt shapes, you will ascend a lookout point on a giant sand dune where you can enjoy a breath-taking view of the valley and the Licancabur volcano. Then, you pass by the bizarre rock formation “Tres Marías” and end the excursion at “Coyote´s rock” (“Piedra del Coyote”). From the top of this rock, you overlook the Kari-Canyon and wide parts of the desert, you can even catch a glimpse at the Salar de Atacama. The setting sunbathes the landscape in a light that changes with every minute, providing a mesmerising play of colours. The return drive to San Pedro is after sunset.

Evening

Our state-of-the-art inventory includes two 12'' Dobson Telescopes boasting a powerful 300x magnification capability, alongside the remarkable eVscope telescope from the renowned Unistellar Brand, perfect for capturing stunning astrophotographs of deep space.

Nestled within our station, you'll find a cozy space featuring a quaint 'Mini Coffee Bar,' where we proudly serve a selection of hot beverages crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Guests can also indulge in the time-honored tradition of roasting marshmallows over a crackling bonfire, accompanied by a delectable array of snacks and complemented by a glass of exquisite Chilean red wine.

Step into our dedicated photography area, meticulously designed to encapsulate the enchantment of the night sky. Equipped with professional-grade gear, we specialize in capturing captivating portrait-style photographs against the backdrop of celestial wonders. Depending on the season, guests can marvel at the ethereal beauty of the Milky Way during autumn and winter or gaze upon the majestic Orion and Pleiades constellations in spring and summer. Each session includes the opportunity for three personalized photographs, ensuring cherished memories to last a lifetime.

Situated in the picturesque Ayllu de Cucuter, just 15 kilometers south of the charming town of San Pedro de Atacama, our observation area offers an unparalleled level of darkness, rated Bortle 2 according to NASA's official website. This pristine darkness provides an optimal environment for both astrophotography and telescope observation, promising an unforgettable celestial experience for every visitor.

Day 5 ATACAMA SALT FLATS, LOS FLAMENCOS NATIONAL RESERVE: CHAXA, MISCANTI AND MEÑIQUES LAGOONS

Morning

Departure to the largest salt flat in Chile, the driest place on Earth. 

Stop at the Chaxa Lagoon (1 hour). 

This area is occupied by three different species of flamingoes: the Andean flamingo, the Chilean flamingo and the James's flamingo. 

Free time to walk around the lagoon and see those magnificient pink birds in action (1 hour). 

Drive through Los Flamencos National Reserve across the altiplano to the splendid Miscanti and Meñiques lagoons at 13,780 feet (4200 metres) above sea level. 

Stop at a local restaurant for lunch before heading back towards San Pedro de Atacama. 

Afternoon

Enjoy some free time to walk around Toconao, a charming village where houses were built with volcanic rock and pop in one of the few craft shops to hunt for local treasures (30 min). 

Drive back to San Pedro de Atacama (30 min). 

End of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 TATIO GEYSERS, CEJAR LAGOON

Morning

Very early in the morning, departure towards the Tatio Geysers located at 4300m above sea level: arrival at sunrise, time when the geysers are the most spectacular. Located 90 km north of San Pedro de Atacama and with nearly 80 active geysers, El Tatio is the largest site in the southern hemisphere. This site is visited at dawn, when the difference of temperatures makes possible to admire the steam chimneys.

Breakfast served in the place.

We will return to San Pedro with a stop on the way at the village of Machuca, located at 4000mts above sea level. this is a small village of shepherds very sparsely populated.

Crafts and skewers of llamas are offered to visitors (to be purchased on spot). Its very picturesque little church is worth seeing.

Afternoon

The Laguna Cejar is a small Salt Lake in the middle of a desert landscape, located 30km/19mi north of San Pedro de Atacama. The water is a searing blue, while the edge of the lagoon is decorated by a white salt crust. Due to the high salinity of the water, it is not only possible to swim here, but also to effortlessly float in the water while enjoying the breath-taking view of the setting, which is dominated by the outline of the Licancabur volcano and the surrounding desert. In many places, the water reaches very pleasant temperatures due to warm springs rising from the bottom of the lake. After bathing, a stroll around the lagoon suggests itself, where many species of birds can be observed and, with a little luck, you can watch flamingos in their natural habitat.

Afterwards, drive back to San Pedro.

Day 7 FLIGHT TO PUNTA ARENAS, TRANSFER TO PUERTO NATALES

Morning

Transfer to Calama Airport for your flight to Punta Arenas (connecting in Santiago).

Transfer From Punta Arenas Airport To Puerto Natales Hotel.

Day 8 FULL DAY AT ESTANCIA PENINSULA

Estancia la Peninsula is a breathtaking retreat nestled in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the region's stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Situated amidst vast expanses of pristine wilderness, this historic ranch provides a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Morning

Boat ride on the Ultima Esperanza Fjord to reach the Estancia La Peninsula. 

Upon arrival, you will be able to choose between a horseback ride or a trekking option (2 hours).

Afternoon

Then you will enjoy a Patagonian lamb asado (vegetarian option available) followed by a demonstration of how shepherd dogs work and a sheep shearing.

These activities are accompanied by a thorough explanation of the life and work of a Patagonian rancher.

Transfer back to the hotel.

Evening

Free evening and overnight in Puerto Natales.

Day 9 Full day Sightseeing Cruise to Balmaceda & Serrano Glaciers

Morning

Morning pick up at your hotel with a 5-minute drive to the pier to board the '21 de Mayo' cruise ship. 

Sail across the Ultima Esperanza Fjord where sea lions and cormorants can often been spotted (2 hours 30 min). 

The first stop will be at the foot of the Balmaceda glacier, before another short sail to the Bernando O’Higgins National Park. 

Hop off for a 15-minute easy hike through native forest on your way to the foot of the Serrano glacier. 

Afternoon

After lunch, sail back to Puerto Natales (2 hours). Late afternoon arrival.

Overnight at your hotel in Puerto Natales.

Day 10 Full day tour to Torres del Paine National Park

Morning

Your guide and driver (pool service) will pick you up at your hotel. After a 40-minute drive, visit the milodon cave and learn about the paleontological and archeological discoveries of the area, once home to the extinct milodon. 

Stop at Sarmiento Lake before entering Torres del Paine National Park. 

As you enter the National Park you will get spectacular views over the Laguna Amarga (Bitter Lagoon) with lots of photographic opporturnities of the Las Torres del Paine mountains. 

After a 30-minute drive, a short 15-minute hike will take you to the impressive Salto Grande, a majestic emerald waterfall that feeds onto lake Pehoe. 

Afternoon

Walk through Grey beach (30 min) to get views of the distant the Grey glacier. 

Drive back to Puerto Natales (2 hours). 

Evening

Overnight at your hotel in Puerto Natales.

Day 11 FLIGHT TO SANTIAGO, FREE AFTERNOON, DINNER SHOW
