Follow the shoreline of Llanquihue Lake, taking in stunning views of Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes that rise majestically above the landscape.

Spend the next day discovering the northern lakeshore. Visit Llanquihue, known for its traditional cecinas and as the source of the Maullín River. Continue to the charming town of Frutillar, celebrated for its Bavarian heritage, beautifully preserved German-style houses, vibrant gardens, and the iconic Teatro del Lago on the waterfront. Your journey leads on to Puerto Octay, where quiet streets, historic architecture, and lakeside panoramas reflect the region’s early settler history.

Your adventure extends to the mystical Chiloé Island, a place of legends, wooden churches, and distinctive culture. Cross the Chacao Channel by ferry and arrive in Ancud, where you will visit San Antonio Fort, the Main Square, the Municipal Market, and the Foundation of Heritage Churches. The day concludes in Castro, the island’s capital, where you will photograph the colorful Manuel Montt palafitos, explore the San Francisco Church, browse the island’s largest handicraft market, and admire sweeping views from the Gamboa viewpoint.

Return to Santiago for a memorable final night. Celebrate your journey with a traditional dinner and folkloric show, experiencing the music, rhythms, and regional dances that embody Chile’s cultural soul.
