Arrival at Galeão, Rio de Janeiro International Airport. Transfer to your hotel and assistance with check-in. 

Enjoy some free time around your hotel and take the opportunity for a stroll on Copacabana beach. (Check-in available after 2 pm or upon availability).

In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Rio’s iconic beaches, including Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, and the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon.
Ride the cable car up the Sugarloaf Mountain where you will have a toast as the sun sets over the amazing scenery of Rio's background.

Early in the morning, board the train on the rack railway up the Corcovado mountain. On reaching the peak of one of the most distinctive mountains in the world, you will get amazing scenic views of Rio and a close look at the majestic Christ the Redeemer statue, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Back in the city, visit the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa with its unique architectural heritage and incredible cultural wealth.

Free afternoon. Relax at the beach, keep exploring the vibrant city or visit the modern Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do amanhã) and the Museum of Fine Arts (Museu Nacional de Belas Artes) (not included).

After breakfast, take a walking tour in the historical center of Rio de Janeiro. Step back in time and learn about the city's vibrant life much like when Rio was still the capital of Brazil.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in São Luis and assistance with check-in. Rest of the day is at leisure.

After breakfast, take the bus to the small town of Barreirinhas, the gateway to the Lençóis Maranhenses national park. After a 5-hour drive, transfer and check-in at your hotel in Barreirinhas.

In the afternoon, a 4-wheel drive will pick you up to discover the Grandes Lençois Maranhenses National Park, an incredible sand dune environment with mesmerizing lakes and lagoons such as Lagoa Azul, Lagoa do Peixe and Lagoa Bonita. Watch the sunset in this idyllic environment before driving back to your hotel.

Free evening and overnight in Barreirinhas.

Transfer to the port of Barreirinhas for morning departure on a full-day cruise down the Preguiças river. In Vassouras, stop to explore the Pequenos Lençóis, walk past the golden sand banks and discover the small lakes behind the sand dunes of this protected area. Further down the river, visit the village of Mandacarú, where you can climb up the famous lighthouse for amazing views of the Atlantic. Across the river, stop at Caburé beach, a narrow sand bank that separates the river and the ocean.

Return to Barreirinhas mid-afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure.

Morning transfer to Parnaíba. From the comfort of your 4-wheel vehicle, enjoy the incredible views of the south-eastern edge of the Pequenos Lençoís with the rainforest to your right and sand dunes to your left.

In the afternoon, take a fast boat ride to explore the Parnaíba delta, the largest open sea delta in the Americas and the third-largest in the world. Your 5-hour boat tour will take you around some of the 70 islands in a natural area that covers 1,050 square miles (2,700 km2). Marvel at this rich environment made of sand dunes, mangrove forests, igarapés (natural canals only accessible by canoes), fresh water lagoons and amazing wildlife.

Free evening and overnight in Parnaíba.

Morning departure to the village of Jericoacoara. Stop on the way at Tatajuba beach and Torta Lake for a relaxing time. Have a nap in one of the hammocks over the water and try some of the delicious fresh seafood. (lunch not included).

In the afternoon, cross the river by ferry to Guriú beach and drive on to the village of Jericoacoara, on time to enjoy the warm sunset.

Free evening and overnight in Jericoacoara. 

After breakfast, you will leave on a buggy trip to Jericoacoara National Park, famous for its unique beaches. Stop on the way for a short hike to the “Pedra Furada” (holed stone) before driving to the village of Prea for some ocean time with incredible views.

Your buggy will take you up and down the dunes of the park all the way to Lagoa Paraiso and Lagoa Azul, two marvelous lagoons where you will stop to enjoy crystalline waters or relax in some of the hammocks.

Free evening and overnight in Jericoacoara. 

After breakfast, drive to Fortaleza (5 hours). 

Upon arrival, transfer and check-in at your hotel in Fortaleza. Rest of the day at leisure to visit the city, a highly sought-after destination in Brazil.
