Tour Description

5-Day Private Expedition – Bolivia’s Surreal South Lipez and Salt Flat Wonders

This 5-day private and custom tour takes you through Bolivia’s most mesmerizing natural wonders — a land of otherworldly salt flats, high-altitude deserts, and ancient volcanoes. Beginning in Uyuni, venture across the vast and glistening Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat on Earth. Wander across the white expanse, snap surreal perspective photos, and explore Incahuasi Island, where towering giant cacti rise from coral rock, offering panoramic views of the salt sea.

Continue your adventure into the dramatic highlands of North Lípez, where you'll hike along the flanks of the sacred Tunupa Volcano, a colorful geological marvel steeped in legend. Spend time in the remote village of San Pedro de Quemes, a silent witness to Bolivia’s turbulent past, and discover a string of pristine lagoons tucked between rugged cliffs and wide open skies — each one a vivid, high-altitude jewel reflecting the clouds above.

In the final leg of your journey, descend into the stark beauty of South Lípez, home to some of the most surreal landscapes on the continent. Cross the wind-swept plains of the Siloli Desert, where the eerie Arbol de Piedra (Stone Tree) stands in solitude. Explore the incredible Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, witness flocks of flamingos dancing across the red waters of Laguna Colorada, and marvel at the emerald glow of Laguna Verde, nestled at the foot of Licancabur Volcano. Let your senses be captivated by the steaming vents of Sol de Mañana Geysers and the alien rock formations of the Dali Desert.

This unforgettable adventure through Bolivia’s raw south reveals nature’s most dramatic expressions — wild, beautiful, and beyond imagination.
