Tour Description

Argentina is a land of natural beauty and cultural wealth. This tour combines 3 amazing regions in the home of Tango and South America's prestigious wines.

Start with the continent's most popular city, Buenos Aires, the cultural hotspot of the region. Take a stroll on 'El Caminito' street museum, wander through the Recoleta cemetery, La Boca soccer stadium and stop at many world-class museums nestled among the city's European-influenced architecture.

Hop to the historical region of Mendoza, a place where the Aconcagua, the highest peak on the continent, provides shelter for grape growers and sample world-rated wines among sublime landscapes.

Another world record-breaking place can be found at Iguazu. The little town on the border with Brazil and Paraguay is known for the world's largest waterfall system in the world listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With 275 individual waterfalls spread across the Argentinian and Brazilian borders, Iguazu is one of the 'New Seven Wonders of Nature'.

Join this thrilling 10-day journey to experience the unexpected contrasts that make Argentina such a rich and surprising place.

Itinerary

Day 1 BUENOS AIRES: PLAZA DE MAYO, SAN TELMO, LA BOCA, PUERTO MADERO NEIGHBORHOODS

Morning

Arrival at Ezeiza, Buenos Aires international airport. Meet and greet with your private English-speaking guide. Transfer to your hotel in the city centre (45min).

City Tour: visit the traditional and historical neighborhoods of the Argentinean capital. Starting with the city's main square, the Plaza de Mayo where the Avenida de Mayo starts, Buenos Aires's historic avenue. Pass the Casa Rosada, the seat of the Government, the white Cabildo, a historic place of administrative power and now transformed into a small museum of the history of the city, and finally the imposing cathedral.

Afternoon

Make your way to San Telmo, a neighborhood known for hosting the great families that founded the city and the cradle of the tango. Its cobbled streets are now occupied by artisans and secondhand goods dealers. This neighborhood is very popular for its colonial architecture and history; it is also very famous for the craft fair on Sunday.

From there you will visit La Boca located at the southern edge of the city by the Riachuelo river. La Boca is a typical and colorful neighborhood, where the nostalgic image of the arrival of European emigrants, mainly Italian still lingers. La Boca has become very touristic. We will mainly visit the famous "Caminito" or the international well-known stadium of the Boca Juniors team accompanied by a tango atmosphere.

Finish your visit with a stop at Puerto Madero, home of a pioneer project for the rehabilitation of the old docks of the city that was started in the 90s. An interesting blend of highly modern architecture and entertainment offers that remains loyal to its maritime merchant past where restaurants, bars and luxury sit side by side.

Naturally hostile and very wild, this beautiful part of the province of Buenos Aires was built with great detail and still preserves its harmony. Enjoy a one-hour cruise on the river to explore the Delta, its islands and its unique flora.

Evening
