Tour Description

1,5-Week Private Argentina Tour – From Buenos Aires’ Cultural Heart to Iguazu’s Power and the Marine Wonders of Puerto Madryn

10-Day Buenos Aires, Iguazú Falls & Bariloche Custom Vacation

Experience the best of Argentina with this custom and private 9-day tour, blending vibrant city life, awe-inspiring natural wonders, and the marine wildlife paradise of Puerto Madryn and the Valdés Peninsula. This carefully curated itinerary offers a dynamic mix of culture, adventure, and unique natural encounters—crafted for those who want to explore Argentina in depth and in style.

Begin your journey in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s charismatic capital. Explore the elegant streets of Recoleta and the leafy parks of Palermo, then dive into the historic heart of the city with visits to Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo, and the colorful district of La Boca. Stroll along the revitalized docks of Puerto Madero and end your evening with an unforgettable tango show, immersing yourself in the soul of Argentina.

Next, fly north to discover one of the world’s greatest natural wonders: the Iguazú Falls. Marvel at the sheer power and scale of the falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides, where walkways and panoramic viewpoints offer breathtaking perspectives of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Feel the mist on your face at the Devil’s Throat, the most dramatic section of the falls, and walk among butterflies and lush jungle flora as the sound of rushing water surrounds you.

Then, travel south to Puerto Madryn, gateway to the Valdés Peninsula, one of the richest marine wildlife reserves on the planet and a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Begin with a visit to the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Interpretation Center, followed by a full-day adventure across the peninsula. Witness stunning Atlantic landscapes and diverse habitats at Punta Pirámides, Bird Island, Salinas Chica and Grande, Punta Delgada, Valdés Cove, Punta Cantor, and the Punta Norte Lighthouse.

A major highlight is your boat excursion to observe southern right whales (June to December), where you may witness these giants breach and glide just meters from your boat. Beyond the whales, Valdés Peninsula is home to an astonishing array of wildlife: expect to see sea lions, elephant seals, and South American fur seals basking on the beaches. Keep your eyes open for orcas patrolling the coastline, particularly near Punta Norte, and spot guanacos, maras, armadillos, and even lesser rheas wandering the arid steppe. The skies above are alive with Andean condors, southern crested caracaras, and a wide variety of shorebirds.

You’ll also journey to the remarkable Punta Tombo Reserve, the largest continental colony of Magellanic penguins, where thousands of these charismatic birds waddle through sandy burrows and along coastal paths. Cap off your exploration with a visit to the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum in Trelew, home to some of the most important dinosaur fossils ever found in Patagonia.

This tailored and private travel experience is designed to showcase the rich diversity of Argentina—from its European-style capital and jungle-covered waterfalls to the stark beauty and teeming wildlife of Puerto Madryn and the Valdés Peninsula.

We don’t just plan trips—we curate once-in-a-lifetime journeys that leave you changed, moved, and deeply connected to the land you explore. Let’s make this one yours: get in touch.
