Depending on conditions, spend the afternoon piranha fishing or exploring the igapó:
Piranha Fishing: As you glide along igarapés in a wooden canoe, try your hand at the bucket list Amazonian activity of piranha fishing. Bearing razor teeth, the piranha is a freshwater fish indigenous to the Amazon basin.
Explore the Igapó: If water levels are high, visit the igapó of Anavilhanas National Park, a protected area of some 400 lush islands, and distinguish the differences in species of flora and fauna between the dryland and flooded forests of the Amazon.
