Cruise Description

This eight-day Aqua Nera Amazon River Cruise kicks off in Nauta, a port town on the north bank of the Marañon River. With exciting activities like wildlife spotting and piranha fishing, this nature expedition is designed for those who love the outdoors. Onboard this five-star vessel, settle into one of 20 sophisticated suites and relax in its elegant lounging spaces, which include a plunge pool on the sun deck and an outdoor cinema. Head out at dawn to go birdwatching along the Marañon River, taking advantage of their most active feeding times. Then canoe or go for a refreshing swim in the Yanayacu-Pucate River while looking out for the Amazon’s famed pink river dolphins. Meet and greet the locals of a traditional Amazonian village and learn about their daily rituals. With your guide, enjoy a full-day excursion on the Pacaya tributary, and glide on flooded forests to see howler and squirrel monkeys. Take part in a canoe ride or go for a cool dip in the Yarapa or Clavero River, and visit the quiet village of San Jose de Paranapura before disembarking in Nauta. On your way to the Iquitos Airport, visit the Manatee Rescue Center, and learn how biologists are rescuing and rehabilitating young manatees, and re-releasing them into the wild.
