Tour Description

Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica is a gorgeous rainforest lodge, adjacent to the lush Tambopata National Reserve, one of the last easily accessible primary tropical rainforests in the world.

The 678,774-acre reserve (274,690 hectares), offers a wealth of biodiversity, as well as magnificent natural landscapes. Located in a welcoming haven of 494 acres (200 hectares), Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica is an excellent place to set out on land and river excursions and experience the magic of the rainforest.

This simple yet hospitable lodge has been an ecotourism pioneer for 40 years, promoting innovative sustainable use of the southern Peruvian rainforest, and supporting important scientific investigations from the day it opened in 1975.

The lodge counts with tree-trunk boardwalks winding through the property. Designed to look like a typical village of the indigenous Ese'Eja people overlooking the Madre de Dios river, the cabañas (bungalows) connect with a central pavilion that houses the dining room, the bar, and main lounge, all fitted with balconies ideal for bird watching and stargazing.

Enjoy your Amazonian stay and spot giant colorful parrots, toucans, macaws, tamarins, tapirs, and other incredible animals. The Tambopata National Reserve has broken numerous world records for the wealth of its biodiversity and new species are constantly being discovered.
