Chungara Lake and the Lauca National Park

Lauca National Park is dominated by three large volcanos, one of which ominously smolders still. The park is also known for the beautiful emerald green lagoon Cotacotani, where a wide assortment of llamas, guanacos, alpaca, vicunas and vizcachas roam freely.
Unusual bird life also charm visitors, and you will be very likely to see the giant tagua as well as lovely Chilean flamingos. In the highlands of this beautiful setting is the lovely Chungara lake, popular among locals and tourists alike.
